I am down to 211 pounds from 230. I am starting to feel “skinnier”. I wanted one more pound this week to make it a total of 20 (nice round number), but next week for sure.

Walking

0

Tracy at Healthwaves from the very beginning has been working with me on my fitness, now for some seven weeks, she stated that the best fitness activity is walking. I have been trying to get in five miles a day. This includes all walking, like from the parking lot to my desk. I may mix up the walking with a bike ride or hike and have been pretty consistent in getting in my miles. I will try do one to two miles in the morning and one or two in the afternoon. Something two miles at lunch. In the evening. I will walk the dog and my wife Teri who will join me for another three miles. Mileage may vary, but I have been consistent. I feel my knees are getting stronger. My left knee use to hurt. They may be sore after a bleacher climbing or hikes, but stronger.

Sunday Morning Ride

I wanted to bike ride this morning before it heated up. I got out a little before 8am, and rode a leisurely 12 miles, my normal “get out” ride. I put on new tires and tubes this weekend. That was part of the motivation to ride this morning, to “test” them out. Overall, it was a faster then normal ride.
