Blood Pressure
0Today is blood pressure Thursday. Below is a chart of my pressure. It is a good reading, but not as good as last week.
Weight 19 down, 11 to go to first goal
0I am down to 211 pounds from 230. I am starting to feel “skinnier”. I wanted one more pound this week to make it a total of 20 (nice round number), but next week for sure.
Walking
0Tracy at Healthwaves from the very beginning has been working with me on my fitness, now for some seven weeks, she stated that the best fitness activity is walking. I have been trying to get in five miles a day. This includes all walking, like from the parking lot to my desk. I may mix up the walking with a bike ride or hike and have been pretty consistent in getting in my miles. I will try do one to two miles in the morning and one or two in the afternoon. Something two miles at lunch. In the evening. I will walk the dog and my wife Teri who will join me for another three miles. Mileage may vary, but I have been consistent. I feel my knees are getting stronger. My left knee use to hurt. They may be sore after a bleacher climbing or hikes, but stronger.
Sunday Morning Ride
0I wanted to bike ride this morning before it heated up. I got out a little before 8am, and rode a leisurely 12 miles, my normal “get out” ride. I put on new tires and tubes this weekend. That was part of the motivation to ride this morning, to “test” them out. Overall, it was a faster then normal ride.
Hike – South Fork in the creek and then on the Manzanita Trail
0Today hike, was to be South Fork Trail, from South Fork Campground to Islip Saddle, but I was not able to find the trail. I went one mile up the creek and never found
